Bio
Born in Jerusalem in 1983, I lived in Israel untill 2004, where I studied music, sang in a girls choir, and graduated from high school with philosophy as my major. I was however thereafter disillusioned from my possibilities to do something creative in a classical music context.
In Sep. 2002 I started to do work in a curative education community In northern Israel. It is there where I encountered Anthroposophy, started to paint, and gradually became aware of the possibility to work with my own voice independently.
I then felt the urge to find a concrete way to practice that creative independence in the world. I was looking for a profession.
In Sep. 2004 I moved to Basle Switzerland where I began studies in the “NeueKunstSchule” –a unique school combining intensive painting courses and anthroposophy lectures. I am now in the midst of my fourth and final year of my course in the “NeueKunstSchule”. Though a painting student, I continued to sing–alone and in different contexts (Bands,Performance-collaborations with visual artists).
Music and painting – One may fail to see the logic in such disciplinary infidelity.
I can define no strategy. I guess I am trying to find the string that binds these seemingly separate worlds back together.
The painting that I like sings and the music that l love sees. I hope to some day make something that will answer this description.
